Job Summary:

As an Inventory Control Manager, you will assume a crucial role in harmonizing our inventory levels with sales forecasts, historical data, and operational capacities. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize inventory across our network, ensuring alignment with customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence. This position demands a blend of robust analytical skills, strategic acumen, and operational proficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and reports daily to ensure availability.
  • Manage webstore inventory to uphold customer experience and meet inventory KPIs.
  • Generate accurate and timely purchase orders.
  • Utilize advanced inventory management software to analyze stock levels, order histories, and sales patterns for predictive inventory planning.

Reporting and Data Analysis
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and turnover rates for senior management's strategic decision-making.
  • Identify unexpected inventory changes between sales and forecasts, conducting root cause analysis and providing recommendations.
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel skills to create forecasts for improved inventory decision-making and SKU setup.

Process Improvement
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to streamline inventory management and backorder processes.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, accuracy, and record-keeping to minimize errors.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
  • Prioritize communication with vendors regarding POs and inventory availability/forecasting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Management, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, data analytics, technology, or statistics.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and procedures, including experience with ERP systems and inventory management software. NetSuite preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions.
  • Ability to deliver under deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with little supervision while managing resources judiciously.
  • Strong work ethic and a team player mentality.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage continuous change.
