We're partnering with a leading global energy trading firm in Houston to recruit an experienced Natural Gas Scheduler. Multiple regions of interest include: Midwest/Midcon, Gulf/TX, Northeast, and West.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate scheduling activities for interstate and intrastate natural gas pipelines, managing third-party nominations, transport, and storage.
Oversee physical transactions within the gas management system, ensuring accurate documentation from third parties.
Optimize gas flow to enhance asset efficiency and minimize transportation and storage costs.
Collaborate closely with the trading team to mitigate imbalances
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly balancing of physical gas deals, monitoring market dynamics.
Serve as a key liaison, communicating changes in rates, tariffs, fuel, and operational conditions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Natural Gas Operations/Scheduling, demonstrating proficiency in segmenting.
Prior cash trading experience is preferred but not required.
Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including availability outside of standard office hours, holidays, and weekends.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, along with VBA and SQL skills.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
