We're seeking an Inventory Manager to manage all aspects of inventory control including receiving, material handling and flow, shipping, cycle counting, and physical inventories within our manufacturing plant. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in optimizing our inventory management processes, while ensuring the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system(s) and continuously improving the flow of materials through the plant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Foster a culture of safety in material handling procedures throughout the plant
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all inventory transactions and secure stakeholder buy-in
Collaborate with department managers as part of the Plant Leadership Team
Implement robust processes and controls to ensure accuracy in perpetual inventory systems
Establish and maintain an efficient cycle counting process to eliminate the need for frequent physical inventories
Manage physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and assist auditors as needed
Drive continuous improvement in material flow and presentation to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Review and improve backflush processes in collaboration with engineering to enhance accuracy
Proactively communicate potential stock outs to relevant departments to prevent downtime
Partner with purchasing and production teams to address root causes of stock outs
Train, supervise, and audit material handlers to adhere to standard operating procedures
Collaborate with purchasing and quality teams to manage inbound supplier quality effectively
Identify and resolve issues in material handling processes to prevent quality defects
Coordinate inbound deliveries efficiently.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control management in manufacturing, utilizing perpetual inventory systems
Proficient in Lean Manufacturing principles, including JIT inventory management.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively towards achieving organizational goals
Track record of continuous improvement initiatives as a leader
Proficiency in ERP systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion and energy to drive organizational change
Excellent problem-solving abilities based on factual analysis
