The Capital Markets Data Associate will support the ownership of data and financial reporting leveraged by Capital Markets. This includes working with data sources throughout the bank, identifying critical elements within these sources, transforming the data into usable formats, and loading the data into various reporting platforms.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Identify, transform, and load data sources from multiple bank subsystems into Power BI workspaces.

  • Ensure the integrity of Capital Markets data sources and integrate with other data sources.

  • Develop, maintain, and verify Power BI datasets for Capital Markets.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports using Power BI, and Power BI embedded in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Interact with the entire Capital Markets team as well as counterparts throughout the bank.

  • Develop and maintain reports that capture key performance indicators and key risk metrics.

  • Validate data received in multiple formats to ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness for accurate reporting.

  • Discuss patterns/trends, root causes, and recommended actions resulting from data analysis and use tools such as Power BI datasets and dataflows, Power Query, Snowflake, Microsoft Teams, SQL, SharePoint, Python, R, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, and statistical tools.



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or data science or in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent amount of education and/or directly related work experience

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience related to accounting or finance or data science, preferably in a banking, financial services, or technology industry.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Power Platform; familiarity with SQL, Oracle, FIS, Redpoint a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with US GAAP is preferred.

  • Must have the ability to successfully work under the pressure of strict deadlines.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Must thrives in dynamic, energetic, and driven environments.

  • Must have proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

  • Must have the ability to work overtime as needed during peak reporting periods.
