The Role:



We are seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Energy Modeling field to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of building science, energy simulation software, and sustainable design practices. They will be responsible for overseeing energy modeling projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.



Responsibilities:



Project Oversight:




  • Lead and manage energy modeling projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Collaborate with clients to define project scope, objectives , and deliverables.





Technical Leadership:




  • Direct and oversee the creation of accurate energy models using industry-leading software tools.

  • Continuously stay updated on the latest building codes, technologies, and best practices in energy modeling and sustainable design.

  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate , and stored appropriately.

  • Prepare regular internal and client reports on project status.





Team Management:




  • Guide and mentor the energy modeling team, ensuring quality and accuracy in their work.

  • Foster a collaborative environment and promote knowledge sharing among team members.





Client Relations:




  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.

  • Present energy modeling results and recommendations to clients, ensuring they understand the value and implications of the findings.





Business Development:




  • Identify and act on opportunities for new projects and business expansion.

  • Attend industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay abreast of market trends and to network with potential clients.






Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Building Science, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in energy modeling and simulation.

  • Proficiency in energy modeling software such as EnergyPlus , IES VE, eQUEST , or similar tools.

  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards related to energy efficiency.

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Relevant professional certifications such as BEMP (Building Energy Modeling Professional), CEM (Certified Energy Manager).

  • LEED AP, ILFI accreditation preferred.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Passive House concepts and standards.
