JOB DESCRIPTION:



The job requires a management professional having strong manufacturing background and strong skills in continuous improvement and efficiencies across company's products, systems, operations, and processes. This Professional would lead the Lean process improvement activities in the plant in United States, in coordination with global teams. This professional would directly report to plant manager, Regional operations Director and Global Manufacturing Head to achieve the required plant KPI target set by General Head Quarters (GHQ). This Professional would also work with multifunction teams in the plant team to develop and improve plant lean operation system including manufacturing and material management systems.



Major Responsibilities



Strategy and Development


  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.



General and Task Management


  • Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with company and customer requirements.

  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Lean strategy.

  • Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, such as the planning and running of lean events.

  • Undertake business process analysis, statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change.

  • Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success.

  • Coach and facilitate teams and individuals to identify and implement improvement opportunities.

Education/Skills required:



  • A degree (relevant to manufacturing / engineering is preferred) and generally 8 plus years of experience in a manufacturing and manufacturing Engineering preferably Automotive manufacturing Field.

  • People management and project management

  • Master Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification is advantageous.

  • Have experience working with integrated computer programs (ERP) and/or applications.

  • Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.

  • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
