“A Day in the Life”

We are seeking a Production leader who will quickly grow into the lead manufacturing role for the company. This position will be a key member of the Management Team.

The Production Manager will train under the guidance of the Plant Manager with the intent to move into the lead manufacturing role. Responsible for all day-to-day operations leading a team of 80 plus employees in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong shop floor presence and interaction will all levels of the organization.

“What You’ll Do”


  • Build a sustainable manufacturing organizational plan that supports aggressive growth for the next 5 years.

  • Ensure that Metal Fabrication and Welding shops are generating appropriate productivity and are efficiently scheduled to maximize available time.

  • Undertake machine and welding jig scheduling based upon current workload and material availability.

  • Ensure all welding activities are undertaken within the prescribed welding code and that all welding operations, where applicable pass inspection from Welding Inspector and DSA Field Inspector

  • Ensure all construction is undertaken in accordance with Project Manager, CAD department and DSA approved drawing feedback in addition to clearly communicating changes, stops or other project critical information to all appropriate parties during construction.

  • Work closely with Project Managers, CAD department, Service and Installation Manager and Plant Manager to ensure accurate communication of issues, schedule slip or material issues that could affect project schedule.

  • Coordinate closely with the Project Management, CAD, Purchasing and Installation team during the design, planning and manufacturing phases to support demanding on-time shipping schedules with quality, high level of completion to each project.

  • Undertake reporting of daily hours, absences, tardiness, production efficiencies metrics and present this data at daily meetings and review with each working department on a daily basis in the plant.

  • Sustain and drive quality improvements in all aspects of the construction process.

  • Develop 5S and other Lean activities and drive these through all levels at the plant.

  • Support and direct Supervisors with scheduling workforce and developing robust strategies for the upcoming construction such as ramp-up or crew-down.

  • Adopt and sustain the ENV safety program in conjunction to holding safety meetings and safety training in both English and Spanish

  • Sustain all operations permitting requirements and work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Sustain, update, and refine all ENV Safety Policies and Procedures and work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure full compliance.

  • Organizes physical inventory process in support of purchasing requirements for material movement, inventory and material distributed out of plant to construction sites.

  • Performs all job duties and responsibilities according to job-specific safety guidelines; wears all appropriate PPE.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Operates in the facility and on-site in a semi-autonomous.

  • Identify, justify, and execute plans for capital projects and expansion.

  • Foster an environment of teamwork with other departments.

  • Suggest and recommend new technology that improves quality and efficiency.


“Must Haves”

  • Knowledge of construction trades highly desirable.

  • 7+ years manufacturing or related experience including 2-3 years in supervisory/management roles.

  • Demonstrated decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.

  • Product, market, or manufacturing experience within or related to the construction industry.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills coupled with proficiency in articulating these skills with MS Office

  • Strong leadership skills driven from a front-line position on the plant floor.

  • Knowledge of construction trades highly desirable

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

  • Ability to speak Spanish is highly desired but not required.
