Position Overview

Community Coffee is looking for a Team Leader who has excellent business and leadership skills to deliver profitable
customer plans and market share growth. This individual will manage high profile customers and develop collaborative and
productive working relationships with Kroger, Albertson's and HEB. In addition to customer and team management responsibilities,
this role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales operations, finance, supply/customer service,
category management, customer marketing.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities


  • Oversees the activities of the GSD National Accounts, including but not limited to, maintaining relationships that grow our business, achieving established performance scorecards, handling customer issues, developing sales within accounts, analyzing and controlling department expenditures, preparing sales reports, implementing process improvements, participating in trade shows, etc.
  • Effectively leverage internal resources (e.g. finance, marketing, technology, sales network) to maximize opportunities with key strategic customers.
  • Ensures demand planning forecast and purchase orders are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
  • Creates measures of success and ensures profitability and sustainability of accounts.
  • Ensures adherence to all key customer contracts.
  • Works with the product development, marketing and/or sales group to align with the company's growth strategy.
  • Explores and evaluates business development opportunities and facilitates expansion of existing and new business opportunities for the company.
  • Manages multiple projects involving cross-functional teams with competing priorities, developing and monitoring project schedules and timelines to identify and meet critical milestones
  • Provide information on market trends, the organization's competitive position, customer programs, etc. in order to determine program and service strategies for the customers.
  • Assists with the development of the company 5-year strategic plan, the annual operating plan and all major promotion and new item introductions
  • Partners with VP Sales GSD to develop long-term strategic sales plan.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and 7 years of successful CPG sales experience in the retail/grocery industry, specifically with national or regional, large revenue accounts preferred; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of major account sales management experience; Kroger, Albertson's and HEB experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leveraging data to retail analytic application and management capabilities, i.e. syndicated data (Nielsen and/or IRI), 84.51 Stratum, and other customer specific applications
  • Customer /Trade Marketing experience and Category Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and conduct executive business reviews, Joint Business Plans and presentations
  • Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) capabilities

  • Field Sales Environment- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
