Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:


The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The postdoctoral research fellow will be responsible for overseeing research activities including intervention delivery, data collection and processing, data analysis, manuscript and grant writing, and the supervision/mentorship of trainees.



Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Works with Research Investigator Team to assist in the planning, conduct, and interpretation of research.

  • Participates in regular research meetings with BWH faculty and trainees, co-investigators across institutions, and consortium-wide working group sessions.

  • Attends and participates in staff meetings; journal clubs; other research meetings as required.

  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to project management and workflow, mentorship of students and trainees, and presentation of research at local, regional, and national meetings.


Qualifications



  • A PhD, ScD, or similar advanced graduate degree in biostatistics or epidemiology, with an emphasis on multi-omics and/or machine learning experience

  • Experience conducting epidemiologic analyses, specifically evaluating complex exposures with incidence disease outcomes

  • A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements

  • Strong scientific manuscript writing abilities

  • Ability to work and effectively communicate in a team setting

  • Ability to successfully collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds, and levels within and external to the organization and projects.
