Production Associate- CNC Auto Heat Treat 2nd Shift at Hendrickson in Medina, New York

Job Description:

Position Purpose:



Operate all Heat Treat Operations in the department.


Hourly Pay Range: $15.50 - $20.00



Essential Functions:



• Reads work orders to determine material specifications.


• Positions work piece against the stops, push button and depresses pedal to activate machine.


• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions.


• Identifies soft spots on the cam and report all abnormal conditions to the lead Person or Supervisor.


• Stamps parts, verifies stamp is correct and legible and places good pieces in container.


• Assembles cams as needed.


• Completes work orders correctly and legibly.


• Follows written and oral work instruction.


• Works well with supervision and co-workers.


• Willingness to run other machines when needed such as but not limited to Hobbs & Rack Roller.


• Other duties may be assigned.



Education and Training



High School diploma or GED



Minimum Qualifications



• Good verbal and written communication skills.


• Basic math skills.


• Ability to work well with others.



Physical Demands



• Ability to stand continuously for 8 - 12 hours.


• Ability to work in tight places.


• Strength and manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools to make repairs.


• Good physical condition to lift up to 20 pounds repetitively.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively.


• Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor.


• Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills.


• Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer.


• Demonstrated dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations.



Environmental Conditions



• Exposure to a noisy work environment.


• Exposure to hot and humid conditions.


• Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water.


• Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas.


• Steel toe boots with integrated metatarsal guards required in production area.
