Job Description:

Parraid, a products company, is wholly devoted to design, engineering, sales, and support of tactically oriented mission-critical communications solutions and telemetry data systems. We are headquartered in Hollywood, MD, with a great team, well-established product lines, and a growing client base.

The Communications Field Application Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and training for all Parraid tactical communications products, systems, and associated components. This individual will travel to client sites providing engineering support to current and newly identified clients, working in conjunction with Parraid Communications Sales Lead, Sales Manager, and Communications Business Line Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise with respect to all Parraid Communication Products
  • Assist the Communications Sales Lead and Business Line Manager in all aspects of pre- and post-sale customer engagement and support
  • Organizes and leads training and product support engagements with customers
  • Conducts product demonstrations both virtually, and in person, at customer sites
  • Assists in the development of training and marketing materials, to include advertisements and communications product newsletters
  • Maintains demonstration pool assets
  • Prepares and executes Loaner Agreements for customers
  • Prepares and tests demonstration packages for road shows and marketing events
  • Participates in marketing events as needed
  • Participates in internal planning and strategy sessions with the Communications Sales and Business Development Team
  • Conducts client site survey assessments related to product capability and customer requirements
  • Analyzes market trends and costs related to product competition
  • Assists Sales Lead, Sales Manager, and Business Line Manager in developing key account strategy planning
  • Assist Sales Lead and Sales Manager in developing short and long-term strategic product support and warranty sales strategies and objectives for the assigned market space
  • Works towards Team and Corporate sales objectives and revenue goals
  • Aggregate customer feedback on market trends and participate in maintaining a strategic product line roadmap
  • Participate in relevant company and industry events
  • Assists the Business Line Manager with product design and development based on new and emerging technologies
  • Note: Frequent Domestic and occasional International travel (passport required) is to be expected

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Able to demonstrate / present systems and software to clients
  • Able to provide instruction regarding the installation, operation, and employment of Parraid Communications products in the context of client radio communication systems that transmit and receive radio messages, voice and data, across planned radio nets
  • Able to train and advise clients in the architecture, installation, utilization, and operation of radio equipment, radio nets, related antenna systems and auxiliary Tactical Communications products related to Parraid Communications products
  • Able to provide contextual support to client regarding information technology (IT) systems that utilize Parraid Tactical Communications products is highly desirable
  • Proficient with underlying mechanical and electrical principles, including installation and wiring techniques, is highly desirable
  • Some proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics CRM software, or similar enterprise CRM tool, is highly desirable

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, or equivalent electronics training in a military or civilian technical school
  • Minimum of four years’ experience with hands-on technical field support in the planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of US Department of Defense (DoD) specific communication systems
  • Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance required; existing DoD Security Clearance is highly desirable

Job Location:

  • Note: Parraid headquarters is in Hollywood, Maryland, United States
  • At minimum, the candidate must be located near a desirable travel gateway
  • The ability to work regularly from Parraid headquarters office is highly desirable.
