Responsibilities

• Works independently on architectural design projects and coordinates project design efforts including developing creative design concepts, presentation and design drawings and details.
• Develops and represents lead technical detailing on projects
• Prepare and edit technical specifications including Division 00
• Utilizes appropriate communication techniques for positive collaboration
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assigned
• Lead multi-discipline project teams and internal architectural team
• Coordinates design details with production team; participates in document production, specifications and construction administration as assigned
• Responsibility for design refinement of aspects of project, including team leadership
• Provide oversight and mentorship of junior staff.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Authorized to work legally in the United States without restrictions.
• Bachelor's or Masters' Degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program
• 12+ years post graduate progressive experience in the field of architecture including substantial experience in developing details, planning and design support for design development.
• Building envelope experience required
• LEED Accreditation a plus
• Licensure in a U.S. jurisdiction and ability to obtain Alaska registration
• Cold Weather Region Experience with Arctic design experience preferred (ASHRE Zone 6+)
• Proficiency in technical detailing required
• Proficiency in writing and editing technical specifications, including Division 00 required
• Working knowledge of:
• Building systems, detailing and technology
• Applicable codes, regulations, and standards
• Design solution development
• Differing building types and project delivery methods
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to work and grow in team environment
• Proactive listener
• Time efficient self-starter; enjoys fast paced project work
• Working knowledge with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation techniques

The approximate pay range for Anchorage is $95,000 to $125,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
