Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a job opportunity for a full time Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTIII) II in San Diego, CA.

Summary: Provide Marine Gas Turbine Inspector services for Gas Turbine Systems on the DDG 1000, DDG 51, CG 47, LHD 8, LHA 6, LCS 1, LCS 2, MCM Class ships.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Inspect USN surface navy gas turbines IAW the latest revision of General Gas Turbine Bulletin Nr. 11.

• Provide FTA support to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct problems with the following gas turbine propulsion and generator gas turbines: LM2500 and LM2500+, 501-K17, 501-K34, MT5, MT30, 250-KS4, TF40B, ETF40B, T62, Solar T1000S, and Solar T1302S.

• Provide clear Technical Assist Visit Reports (TAVR) documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

• Provides logistics support in instances where parts may be required or Allowable Parts Lists (APL) are not correct/complete.

• Trains ship's force personnel in the operation, maintenance, and logistics support of specific equipment.

• Performs assessments of shipboard equipment and systems as defined by ICMP, TSRA, or INSURV guidelines. Draft assessment standards as required.

• Assists in updating ship's Current Ship's Maintenance Plan (CSMP) with validated deferrals in accordance with specified uploading procedures.

• Interprets wiring diagrams, control schematics and plans and the ability as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot, analyze and provide distance support for listed equipment.

• Observes all safety standards.

• May require overtime.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum four years (4) of journeyman level experience as a certified MGTI within the last five years (5).

• Must possess current Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) certification.

• Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite.

• Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.

• Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $39.50 To $46.00 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

ADA/Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 25 lbs.

• Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.

• Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.

• May ride ships at sea for extended periods.

• May require wearing a respirator.

• Most work is performed aboard ships or in industrial conditions.

• Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.
