As a Project Engineer you will assist the Project Manager with various project management, material releases, vendor follow up, change orders, field dimensioning, submittals and labor and delivery schedules. Must have a Commercial Construction background!
Responsibilities: Assist with the development, preparation and finalization of project schedule
Responsible for procuring and submitting all project submittal information for approval
Assist with the administration of subcontract requirements, contract documents and change orders
Coordinate communications and correspondence from owners, contractors and subcontractors
Assist in resolution of conflicts with clients and customers
Review job costs with project manager
Ensure project quality control procedures are followed during construction process
responsible for job closeout being performed in an efficient manner
Manage shop drawings through project specifications, general contractor review and final installation; follow up with internal and external customers on shop drawing changes and schedule changes
Maintain shortage and Breakage Log and reorder materials as needed
Assist project manager in preparing month billings, cost projection and weekly logs
Qualifications:
3+ years of related experience in Commercial Construction, Project Management and either Millwork, Laboratory Equipment and/or Architectural Woodwork
Experience in doors, framing and hardware preferred
BA degree in a related field
Must have excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently
Strong communication and written skills
Take ownership and accountability
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Flexible and task driven
