Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Planner Scheduler located in Austin, Tx.

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, the Planner Scheduler role involves…

What a typical day looks like:

• Checking the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment’s etc.), confirmation of the order.


• Preparation of production plans, input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, notification of the purchasing group.


• Monitoring, control of implementation of plans, starting necessary actions in case of deviations


• Preparation of long-term plans, forecasts (MPS, Forecast).


• Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data, routing, BOM, CFT data /non-consumed demand, planned WO's.


• Preparing of Clean to build reports, checking the material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk, ECO implementation tracing.


• Preparing management and CFT specificized reports, monitoring of KPI's.


• Giving assistance, replacement in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.


• Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.


• Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.


• Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs. 


• May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.


• Provides input to management, reschedules, and /or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers, and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.


• Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3 years of related experience.


• Demonstrates operations and technical skills and comprehension of Flex’s functional standards.


• Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.


• Ability to operate data entry, office software including, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and data base systems required


• Background in PCBA (preferred)
