Innova Solutions is currently seeking a DRAFTING TECHNICIAN with NETWORK ADMINISTRATION EXPERTISE and an Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly Clearance to serve a trusted provider of secure, IP enabled, cloud-based, network solutions and professional services to the Federal Government. This company's National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video, and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.
Strong Visio, PowerPoint and MS Office product skills are required.

Position type: Full-time W2 (No C2C - No VISA sponsorship candidates)
Duration: 12 months with likely extension
Location: Onsite in Chantilly, VA
Pay Range: $70-75/hour including PTO
NOTE: No vendor calls, please; No C2C

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the IT-IA-IM baseline configuration for all-project related work for project oversight as well as office-level oversight and control.


• Develop policy for documenting and changing baseline project network configuration items.


• Provide drawing, diagraming, and network mapping expertise and support to the Configuration Management Team


• Coordinate with network architects and engineers to gather requirements for designs.


• Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and build network maps for enterprise level services.


• Create detailed designs with various computer software applications.


• Create drawings in support of tooling and equipment component designs.


• Establish, train, and maintain network drawing standards to serve all contract requirements.


• Prepare and review network diagram sketches with applicable teams prior to official drafting.


• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products and processes to improve functionality.


• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.


• Interface with vendors and internal customers to schedule and coordinate work.


• Document and track action items and input from design review meetings.


• Identify and evaluate key components for equipment.


• Clarify and refine automated network mapping tool outputs with network engineers and offsite network technicians.


• Interface with and coordinate work taskings through customer managed ticket system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• TS SCI CI Poly

• Functional knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint


• Proficiency creating network drawings using MS Visio


• Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to:
  • Doctorate and 3 years' experience,
  
  
  • OR master's degree and 4 years,
  
  
  • OR bachelor's degree and 6 years,
  
  

• • OR associate degree and 8 years,
  
  
  • OR HS diploma and 10 years
  
  


• Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

Desired qualifications include:

• Ability to brief and communicate with team leadership, customers, and vendors.


• Familiarity with Atlassian Confluence team collaboration applications


• Be familiar with applications related to network and topology mapping.


• Prior experience as a network administrator

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: $70-75/hour including PTO, W2 Only.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
