Summary
Responsible for proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Prepares basic to complex balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring appropriate and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to reconcile bank accounts and cash activity.
- Prepares and enters journal entries on general ledger accounts. Audits journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records for accuracy.
- Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, amortization and depreciation schedules and other financial reports. Prepares ad hoc reports on a routine basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Familiarity with ERP accounting systems
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- 2-4 Years of Accountant experience
- Familiarity with SOX audit procedures
- Microsoft Excel Proficiency
