Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary:	The College of Professional Studies (CPS) is seeking enthusiastic undergraduate mentors for the Pre-College Summer Academy (PCSA), an immersive program designed to introduce students to the multifaceted experience of attending college. Undergraduate mentors will play a critical role in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for PCSA students.
Requirements:	Assist CPS Advising Team with the development and implementation of engaging and educational activities for high school and incoming college students. Contribute ideas for workshops and events focusing on personal growth and service. Establish strong mentor-mentee relationships with students to provide guidance and support throughout the program. Guide students in effective time management strategies, create personalized study plans, and develop organizational skills laying the foundation for their success in college. Conduct scheduled study sessions to enhance academic skills and reinforce classroom learning. Assist students with homework and assignments providing guidance in various subject areas. Knowledgeable of campus resources to refer students when needed. Lead social activities with students as part of the program.
Additional Information:	Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a Villanova undergraduate student demonstrating strong academic performance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide peers effectively. Passion for supporting the educational and personal development of high school and incoming college students. Proactive and adaptable with excellent problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Students entering their junior or senior year of college. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a related field. Additional Information: Internship credit may be available.
