About this role:

Reporting to the head of Enterprise Incident Communications, this position will create integrated strategies, content, and creative solutions to support incident communications. Additionally, the scope includes working on high-priority projects and incidents with colleagues across the enterprise. This position can sit in Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Minneapolis, MN; New York, NY; Saint Louis, MO; San Francisco, CA or West Des Moines, IA and is required to be in the office 3 days a week. In this role, you will:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and provide incident communications counsel to key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement communications strategies and plans that protect Wells Fargo's reputation
  • Write a variety of communications including key messages, announcements, Q&As, and talking points
  • Ensure creative assets adhere to all corporate branding and legal guidelines
  • Participate in kickoff, progress, and presentation meetings with key stakeholders
  • Offer insights and influence decision-making based on risk or reputational matters
  • Design testing strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of incident response plans
  • Function as a subject matter expert (SME) and share best practices
  • Develop standards, guidelines, tools, and templates for effective incident communications
  • Collaborate across Public Affairs to coordinate work and ensure a "One Wells Fargo" approach
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience developing incident communications strategies and plans
  • Experience counseling executives on issues management or crisis management initiatives
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging internal/external channels for messaging
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, and influences decision makers
  • Experience working complex programs/projects under regulatory oversight
