The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Global Logistics Optimization Manager , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Leads the Global Intercompany team's day to day operations including order processing, order changes, order tracking, exceptions, discrepancies, complaints, and returns

  • Leads the Global Service Center teams supporting Intercompany and Transportation transactions

  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators to measure the performance of the Intercompany and transportation logistics operations, identifying areas for improvements and driving continuous optimization

  • Develops and implements strategies, best practices, standard operating procedures, and a continuous improvement culture, to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our global logistics intercompany operations and service centers to minimize costs and maximizing service

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, customer service, finance, and IT, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of network changes, supply chain changes, ERP changes, and other changes impacting Intercompany activities.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in Global Service Center operations and Intercompany activities

  • Manage Detention and Demurrage processes to minimize costs and streamline operations

  • Implement Premium Air process and management strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-priority shipments

  • Develops and executes Spot Buy process and management initiatives to optimize procurement and transportation costs

  • Manage freight claims processes to ensure timely resolution, minimize financial impact, and maintain customer satisfaction, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement preventive measures and drive continuous improvement

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND (10) years of Logistics, Intercompany or Supply Chain operations experience.

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED from AND (14) years of Logistics, Intercompany or Supply Chain operations experience.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Two (2) years supervisory experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders

  • Previous experience with SAP

  • Experience leading an international team

  • Logistics management experience in the medical product industry

  • Strong understanding of global supply chain principles and logistics processes

  • Proven track record of success in leading logistics operations

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $207,348 - $253,425, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
