POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a full-time Real Estate Attorney to join our busy team. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work under pressure. The position offers the opportunity to work with a great, hard-working team where you will expand your skills and knowledge. The candidate will be responsible to review, draft and negotiate all aspects of retail, office and warehouse lease agreements, with a heavy emphasis on street store locations, and all lease related documents. The candidate will provide assistance to other corporate departments regarding interpretation of existing lease documents and resolution of lease related issues, as well as, work with the Construction Department to review construction related lease exhibits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review, draft and negotiate retail, office and warehouse lease agreements.
Review estoppel certificates, and subordination and non-disturbance agreements.
Work with other corporate departments to answer questions regarding existing leases and resolve lease related disputes.
Review, draft and negotiate settlement agreements.
Review construction related lease language for Construction Projects.
Prepare Construction Lease Abstract for review by Construction Department.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must hold a Juris Doctorate degree (JD).
Must be licensed to practice law in California
Must have at least 3 years Retail Leasing experience in either a corporation or law firm.
Solid written and oral communication skills.
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to all requests and assignments.
Ability to multi-task and manage time independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
This is a hybrid role. Required in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Gardena, CA.
