Position Summary
SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, business fraud, governance, and regulatory compliance across SHEIN's global footprint. It is composed of a team of security professionals, innovators and thought leaders that have had decades of global security experience, led large scale transformations, and served in Fortune 500 executive roles.
We are looking for a Payment Compliance Intern for our Palo Alto, CA-based office hub, who will work within SHEIN's Pay Compliance team in developing solutions that drive business growth in a complex global regulatory environment. We're looking for those who are honest, curious, collaborative, well-rounded, and motivated. You should have an interest in business, finance, and the law as well as the ability to apply what you know to complex situations.
We expect you to have the highest standards of integrity and professionalism with a strong work ethic. You'll need to have strong attention to detail and be able to see the big picture. We're looking for independent, analytical thinkers who can quickly adapt to new situations. You should be able to communicate clearly with all types of people and provide advice to our businesses.
Job Responsibilities
Learn the impact of existing and future regulatory requirements on our various businesses and products and provide independent analysis of licensing strategies, new business strategies, product lines, policies, operational processes, risk mitigation, and internal controls
Support payment compliance team to protect business operations and improve compliance culture
Learn payment regulations and laws that apply to our businesses, gain a comprehensive understanding of business strategy, and collaborate in global teams
Leverage analytical skills to evaluate risk related to our controls across lines of business and regions
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in compliance, data analytics, finance, economics, business, or pre-law is preferred
Interest in the payment compliance industry; eagerness to learn
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, problem-solving, coordination, and ability to effectively work with different stakeholders and teams
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
Solid time management and organizational skills to be able to meet deadlines
Strong moral code and sense of ethics
Nice to have
Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus
Pay: $30/hour
