The Consulting Group at Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors was established in 1990 and serves a critical role in the firm's advocacy. Under the direction of the firm's senior partners, the group is responsible for various economic, regulatory, financial and industry aspects of every case. Our team works collaboratively with the firm's attorneys, investigators, and crisis management experts. The group is comprised of professionals with backgrounds in sectors such as financial services and public accounting. The Consulting Group is recruiting a full-time professional in the Dallas office with a strong preference for individuals with CPA and background in forensic accounting and audit.

What You'll Do:

  • Synthesize clear takeaways from complex sets of information into recommendations.
  • Review and identify documents relevant to a dispute or investigation.
  • Analyze financial transactions for a variety of situations, including the evaluation of business performance, economic motivations, valuation considerations, and fraud.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for clients and their boards - providing strategic recommendations, financial analysis, and case findings.
  • Prepare key witnesses for deposition or trial.
  • Balance multiple projects and responsibilities.

About You:

  • At least five years of work experience in an established accounting, consulting firm, or other professional services firm.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills in order to meet tight deadlines and project deliverables.
  • MBA, CPA, strong financial background with experience in audit and forensic accounting.
  • Financial modeling experience and proven analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, management reporting, and financial reporting systems.
  • Adept project management skills evidenced from prior work history.
  • Passion for advocacy with an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to construct high-quality presentations and analysis for executives and company boards.
  • Ability to work effectively and directly with senior leadership.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Travel flexibility.
