Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Litigation Counsel to join our Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in litigating high-exposure environmental and toxic tort actions, often in parallel with government investigations and enforcement actions. This position offers the opportunity to be engaged in cutting-edge matters involving environmental regulatory programs, crisis management, and product liability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support in crisis management and incident response, including handling environmental incidents, civil and criminal investigations, and related litigation.
  • Counsel clients on regulatory programs for air, water, waste, natural resources, and chemicals, and defend against regulatory enforcement actions.
  • Litigate high-exposure environmental and toxic tort actions, including class actions, multidistrict litigation, and attorneys general actions.
  • Support the firm's national environmental regulatory, emergency response, and litigation practices.

Qualifications:
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Active membership in the Georgia bar or the ability to become admitted to the Georgia bar.
  • 12+ years of experience in environmental law, with specific experience in federal environmental regulatory programs. Clean Water Act experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under deadlines and assume significant client responsibilities.
