A DAY IN THE LIFE



As a key member of the Engineering team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:


  • Managing multi-media projects for individual and multi-facility clients in Georgia and nationwide, including SPCC Plans and FRPs; SWPPPs and stormwater compliance; wastewater permitting and compliance; RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator compliance, Contingency Plans, and Biennial Reporting; EPCRA Tier II and TRI Reporting; agency communications and ongoing environmental compliance support such as auditing and EMS development.


  • Closely partners with business development team to assess new client opportunities and customer needs to drive revenue growth


  • Owning Project Management responsibilities including being the senior technical lead, supervising supporting staff, and coordinating completion of quality documents on time and on budget


  • Generates leads and develops new business opportunities through client prospect development and networking


  • Overseeing administrative and financial aspects of Project Management including proposals, project set ups, forecasting, invoicing, and subcontractor management


  • Exercising safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs


  • Participating in the company's continuous improvement programs and providing support to team efforts


  • Keeping up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops


  • Mentors and develops junior talent across the business


  • Performing other duties as assigned



YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS



To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Environmental-Related Sciencefrom an accredited four-year college or university; Advanced degree preferred


  • 10+ years of related experience


  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred


  • Advanced knowledge of environmental compliance and environmental engineering principles


  • Knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS etc.)


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities


  • Ability to work well with and mentor others in a team-driven environment, setting expectations and providing input and feedback in a helpful way that fosters accountability


  • Ability to actively delegate and communicate in a group setting; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders

Work Environment



Primarily normal office working conditions in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.Ability to be in the office 3 times per week. The noise level is usually quiet; however, the individual can be exposed to loud noise situations occasionally. Occasional site visits to industrial facilities where conditions can vary. There may be occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from the floor of supplies and materials weighing no more than 30 pounds. The work may involve some bending, standing or walking.



Travel



The position may involve occasional travel (< 10%). Travel is usually day trips and occasionally multiple day trips. Extended periods of travel are not typically required to fulfill job duties.
