The position performs Tier 1 user support for both hardware and software.  User support activities include on-line and telephone support for our forty-two distribution centers and regional offices.  Hardware support includes supporting user issues on both personal computers, thin clients, and mobile devices such as phones and tablets.  Software support includes a number of applications including Citrix, ERP, WMS, and the Microsoft Office Suite.  We are building a multi-member team to provide support during Boise Cascade Building Materials Distribution’s operational hours Monday through Friday.  The shifts will be 4 a.m. MTN to 1 p.m. MTN and 10 a.m. MTN to 7 p.m. MTN on a rotating basis.  No prior experience with IT Support is required.   We will provide the in person and remote training required to make you successful in your new career.


Basic Qualifications: College degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working Conditions include a normal office environment with moderate travel may be required (5% to 10%). Response to operating problems is urgent; response often requires work outside normal business hours.


 


Preferred Qualifications: Prefer degree in computer science, computer information systems, business, or a related field. Typically more than 3 years of experience in related job function preferred. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, works well in a small, self-managed work team, and possesses proficient computer and analytical skills, and effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills.
