JOB DESCRIPTION



Newmark is looking for an experienced Data Operations Manager to oversee data collection and management processes. In this role, you will provide guidance and direction to the data team to ensure the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of collected data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage data-related projects, and implement best practices to optimize data workflows. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving data-driven decision-making.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Key Responsibilities:



  • Data Management Leadership: Lead the data operations team to ensure the proper collection, validation, transformation, storage, and retrieval of data from various sources. Define and enforce data management standards and procedures.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish data quality standards and perform regular audits to identify and rectify data inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and anomalies. Implement strategies to enhance data quality and reliability.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine data processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Identify bottlenecks, recommend solutions, and implement streamlined workflows.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the organization, including product, engineering, analytics, and business units, to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions that align with business objectives.

  • Project Management: Manage data-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and effective communication of project status and outcomes.

  • Team Management: Provide leadership and mentorship to the data operations team, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration. Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and support team members' professional development.

  • Reporting and Analytics: Create and present regular reports on data operations performance metrics, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.






QUALIFICATIONS



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in data management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and data governance.

  • Proficiency in data management tools, SQL, and data integration techniques.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering data projects on time and within scope.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining data accuracy.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) are advantageous.




Salary: $175000 - $200000 annually



The expected base salary for this position ranges from $175000 to $200000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
