POSITION SUMMARY
This is a high impact role that will drive the growth of assigned product lines. As a member of the Product Management team, the incumbent will collaborate on innovation pipeline growth, product line plans, and manage the business performance of their product lines. This is a critical role in the organization as Product Management owns and drives the strategy and performance of their product lines (‘book of business’) across the functions, customers, regions, technologies and products of the entire organization.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Engineering or technical field.
  • 2-4 years of product management experience
  • Experience supporting the development of new products from concept through commercialization.
  • High performance, innovation driven, customer and technology-centric mindset.
  • Comprehension in MS Office & 365

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior Product management experience focused in the area of Consumer Durable products with an understanding of UL Recognition as it relates to Marking and Labeling
  • Experience in adhesives and/or material science technology platforms desirable.
  • Product life-cycle management including portfolio planning, product rationalization, Voice of Customer (VOC), P&L management, BI, Market & Pricing Strategy.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Long-Range Roadmap (3 years) that includes development/optimization and launching technology platforms and/or new products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Strategy & Management

  • Responsible for managing and supporting global product line projects to increase revenue, including ownership of Pricing with commercial teams.
  • Support long-range technology platform plans and NPD roadmap, drive evolution of the product lines.
  • Manage the positioning plans and tactics of relevant products and services considering price, performance, competitive position, and profitability.

Leadership

  • Continuously pursuing and investing in the development of their leadership, product management, influence, and all supporting skills as they grow and expand their careers.
  • Support cross-functional teams through development and transformation programs and drive problem resolution including NPD, PLCM and product line optimization, S&OP and forecasting, product marketing / NPI, business growth and recovery, and improvement of profitability, OTD/P, Quality, NPD, and Inventory.
  • Support developmental relationships with suppliers and strategic alliances, partnering with R&D and Procurement in technology platform development to support NPD roadmap.
  • Supports development of new markets, business models, and supports M&A, strategic partnerships, and private branding agreements.

Research & Intelligence

  • Monitor and assess competitive intelligence and as a result supports proactive plans to strengthen the product line’s competitive edge.
  • Lead and conduct market and voice of customer (VOC) research including OEMs, customers, and industry alliances, and validate internal BI and external data to drive decisions on development of product plans, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Gather and synthesize data to drive conclusions from key findings and proactively lead change company-wide to drive growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
  • Category #3 (Hybrid Employee): Employee requires regular travel to a Flexcon facility and will require a dedicated remote and onsite office space (does need to live within a reasonable driving commute to Flexcon NA Facility).
  • Estimated travel 30%
    ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY:
    • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all environmental and safety regulations, including the Company’s environmental and safety policies and procedures. Must be willing to report potential environmental and safety improvements to appropriate supervisory and/or management personnel.
    • Must report all (on shift / off shift) incidents to Supervisor immediately.
    • Must adhere to Flexcon’s personal protective equipment standards.
    • The incumbent in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to environmental policies and company procedures as per the company’s Environmental Management System.
    • Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of harm to the safety of themselves or others.
    • Responsible for informing the Company if he/she is taking medications or if there are any other circumstances that would interfere with safe performance of job duties.
    QUALITY
    • The incumbent in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures as they relate to the requirements of Quality Management System.
