Position Overview

North American Corporation is currently seeking a Sales Support Specialist who will focus on providing support to the sales team and customers throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will be an execution-focused, results-driven individual with a track record of successful Account Management and Customer Support. This is an inside role with the ability to travel to customer sites as necessary. This position is ideal for an over-achieving career-oriented person ready to expand their level of responsibility and business exposure.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Account Managers by phone and in person. Communicate regularly with them regarding customer pricing, problems or requests.
  • Maintain existing business for assigned Account Managers and customer base
  • Type correspondence, memos, proposals, bids, flyers, lists, forms, and special projects for Account Managers. Prepare catalogs, literature, and other materials for mailing.
  • Accountable for accurately maintaining pricing files, customer specific contracts and customer order guides.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop and delivers sales presentations to Account Managers and or decision makers within the customer base
  • Act as a liaison with Account Managers, Category, Purchasing, Customer Service, etc.
  • Continually enhance product and service knowledge by attending trade shows, events, and conferences
  • Make sure orders go out with correct sell price and special costs.
  • Provide a high standard of efficiency, accuracy, and courtesy to all customers and internal employees.
  • Handle customer service calls and duties when required
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ Years College Required.

• 3 + years of both account management and customer service experience.

• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills

• Ambitious and competitive nature.

• Must work well in a team, be self-motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication, and customer service skills.

• Results-driven attitude with a hunger for success.

• The ability to multitask and quickly switch focus

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and PowerPoint
