We are seeking a passionate, mid-career Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for our Generalist Division. This position will be full-time at the Associate Professor (WOT) without tenure by reason of funding on a 12 months service period (July 1 - June 30). This position will also be responsible for direct patient care in general obstetrics and gynecology and will have ample opportunities for scholarly work in education, QI and/or research. This individual will work in an ambulatory clinic site with a diverse patient population and in L&D and the OR with medical students and residents and will participate in resident and medical student education including clinical teaching, didactics, simulation activities, and QI/Patient safety. The successful candidate will be expected to provide care at multiple sites and to take night and weekend call and provide high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population and the successful candidate will be expected to engage in excellent education, leadership, mentorship and research consistent with the academic mission of the University of Washington. Positive factors for consideration include but are not limited to; excellent communication skills, work performed in a team-based care setting, and experience in managing complex gynecologic referrals including surgical proficiency in both laparoscopy and open procedures.

Associate and Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has an anticipated start date of October 1, 2024.

The base salary range for this position will be: $22,500 - $29,167 per month ($270,000 - $350,004 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Qualifications

• MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or foreign equivalent Must have a minimum of four years of clinical experience, which includes obstetric and gynecologic emergencies and trauma Experience in prior administrative work and leadership within an academic setting

All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
