Associates Degree in arts management, business administration or a related field. Two years of experience in a related field. Experience with accounting or bookkeeping related to event ticketing operations is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Performs specialist duties for the Box Office operations. Coordinates with the Patron Services Manager for the Gaertner Performing Arts Center, University Theatre Center, and other venues under the management of the College of Arts & Media (CAM).
Performs specialist duties and clerical functions regarding box office at two box office locations and five venues on campus. Collaborates with university staff, faculty, and students to promote patron services across the College of Arts & Media (CAM) by assisting to ensure all ticketed events are uploaded and available for purchase. Prepares and processes payments with ticket stubs and cash receipts for daily deposits. Receives and responds to information requests related to CAM public events. Assembles and prepares data for reporting and analysis to assist the Performing Arts Ticket Office Manager. Supports programming and monitoring box office websites. Assists with providing direction to student employees. Works with other university departments to ensure all fiscal and inventory requirements are met, including audit, internal control, reporting, and loss prevention. Engages in community outreach to promote events as a university representative to the public. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of university infrastructure, policies, procedures, as well as thorough knowledge of live event operations, including ticketing-related hardware, software, and office systems. Capable of seamlessly transitioning between tasks, while maintaining efficiency and composure. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement. Must possess strong attention to detail and be able to work independently and effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Analytical and multitasking skills necessary. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Working nights and weekends are required for events.
Up to 20% of this position, over the course of the year, may work remotely as determined by the supervisor.
