Job Description:


Primary Location:

2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas, 75074



We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.






Job Summary:

Assist in live music production on the Plano campus for music events. This includes setup, tear down, running Front of House, recording, and streaming audio. It may include occasional equipment repair, maintaining gear in the music studios, and other miscellaneous audio jobs.




Required Qualifications:



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Set up and tear down audio gear before and after events.

  • Mixing the audio using the school console and iPad (Front of House).

  • Recording the event audio.

  • Streaming the event audio.

  • Maintaining audio gear, which may include P.A. system and studio gear.




Supplemental Functions



  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Must be familiar with basics of acoustics, digital audio basics, digital consoles such as the Behringer X32, wireless microphone technology, and Wi-fi connectivity

  • Must be able to mix a show, including making proper audio connections, roll cables, setting gain levels, delivering acceptable monitor mixes, processing the audio if needed, blending/mixing the audio, and setting appropriate volume levels

  • Ability to work as a team and take instructions we

  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly.

  • Ability to push the audio gear on a wheeled dolly

  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.




Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.



Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of related experience.
