Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Senior AWS Python Developer
In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle in AWS and Python. You will also be expected to build high-throughput, fault tolerant systems with requirements including; elicitation, application architecture, definition and design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Irvine, CA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.


• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.


• Experience in AWS and Python

Basic Qualifications

• At least 4 to 7 years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation of development experience in following technologies:


• At least 4 to 7 years of experience in Python (experience in API/ETL development).


• At least 4 to 7 years of experience in AWS (S3, Athena, Lambda, EMR), Kubernetes, Airflow, Terraform.


• Hands-on experience in Postgres database.


• Hands-on experience in Production/Maintenance projects.


• Hands-on experience in integrations and the ability to customize features to meet business requests.


• Hands-on experience in configuring existing system and providing user support.


• Hands-on experience in collaborating with different teams to produce desired results.


• Strong hands-on experience in writing clean and scalable code.


• Hands-on experience in with unit testing.


• Hands-on experience in leading and running production releases and deployments.


• Hands-on experience in serving as an expert on applications and provide technical support.


• Hands-on experience in with Agile framework and SCRUM.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Hands-on experience in working with dynatrace/datadog for application monitoring.


• Support production issues and weekend upgrade activities.


• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product.


• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, Non-functional requirements (NFRs).


• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
