SUMMARY



The Senior Accounting Administrator is responsible for coordinating accounting functions and systems, and is the go-to person for specific financial reporting and related tasks supporting the Vineland Business Unit production facilities and Tyson Prepared Foods accounting departments. Responsibilities include:


  • Inventory reporting and management

  • Yield preparation and analysis

  • Payroll processing

  • Preparing, distributing, and analyzing expense and operational reports and variances

  • Monitoring spends, and other related accounting administration items or special projects.

  • Work closely with management in operations, packaging and labeling, quality assurance, plant accounting, and corporate accounting.




Other duties include: This position will be responsible for compiling financial and statistical data while meeting reporting deadlines. Must have the ability to learn multiple aspects of manufacturing accounting such as basic elements of product costing, gather production and financial information to prepare weekly scorecards/reports, provide support to the physical inventory process, assist in conduction self-audit procedures. This position also needs to champion innovation and continuous improvement to transform the finance team, analytical tools, and reporting; and other duties as assigned duties by the Supervisor.



REQUIREMENTS




  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent


  • Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial/accounting/accounts payable/analytical administrative field or graduate of financial/accounting program.


  • Computer Skills: Requires intermediate computer skills which should include the full suite of Microsoft Office products. Experience with SAP and computer-based inventory warehouse management systems is a plus.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential


  • Special Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed

  • Must be able to work effectively under time constraints
