Job Description:

The Business Systems Analyst is the liaison between IT and key business functions. Works closely with various departments (Finance, Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Service, Engineering and IT Operations), to acquire an in depth knowledge of the company's business systems and processes. Acts as liaison between the IT application developers and the business users in order to define requirements and implement systems that meet their needs. Analyzes current business processes and make recommendations for improvements.


  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements for ERP system and business used applications.

  • Perform process mappings for business processes, both current and future state.

  • Collaborate with technical team on the development and support of business applications.

  • Support users' understanding of the ERP and other business applications and drive continuous improvement of the business's processes in the use of those software applications.

  • Assist the business with implementation of new systems intended to provide process improvements.

  • Write functional specifications based on understanding of the users' requirements.

  • Support users by writing and maintaining user documentation, providing help desk support and training on ERP system.

  • Develops and coordinates applications test plans and schedules.

  • Provides analytical and support for IT based projects and products.




Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 3-5 years prior experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity working with financial data and key performance indicators.

  • Proficiency with Windows PC tools, Windows 10, MS Office 365, MS Excel, SQL query tools and creating process flows.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - speaks clearly, appropriately and effectively with a diverse group of people, exercises active listening, able to translate complex technical concepts into business language, able to write clearly and succinctly.

  • Shares information with team members in an effort to improve the team's position and can effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technology problems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to work easily with both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Collaborative mindset that enjoys working with others and respects the value their contribution brings to each individual on the team.

  • Exhibits through actions, being honest and fair with strong moral principles and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomes.

Occasional travel within the US, as projects require. 10-20%
