Working with hundreds of millions of records, the Statistical Data Analyst will need to develop a deep understanding of each source-data structure, work with clinical informatics, epidemiology, data science and engineering teams on data integration, proprietary outcomes measures, and provide analytic support and validation of one or more business areas within life sciences. Ideal candidates should have had extensive experience with healthcare data, and excellent programming skills with SAS and SQL.

What You'll Do at OM1
  • Use SQL programs (standard and custom) to perform complex data investigation and database queries.
  • Programmatically validate complex outcome measures and other derived variables based on large-scale healthcare data (including claims, electronic health record and patient-reported outcomes data).
  • Work with clinical informatics, epidemiology, data science and engineering to develop innovative solutions to studies with large-scale healthcare data.
  • Write analysis specifications, perform descriptive analyses and interpret results.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in programming and a mentor for knowledge sharing and training.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of a standard program library.

What Experience You Will Bring
  • Excellent programming skills with SAS and SQL, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in each.
  • Master's Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related field, strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience working in the RWE field.
  • Ability to work well cross functionally, especially with technical teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Experience working with real-world healthcare data from multiple sources.
  • Outstanding critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills; superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work, operate under tight deadlines, and meet deadlines.
