As an aluminum sheet and coil Buyer you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials to meet the company's needs. This role requires a strong understanding of the aluminum industry, market trends, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and reliable supply of items and materials.
Sourcing: Identify potential suppliers for the purchase of aluminum products. Continuously evaluate and assess supplier performance.
Purchase Order Processing: Generate and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and compliant.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments related to aluminum materials. Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis.
Inventory Management: Work to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory while ensuring products are readily available.
Cost Analysis: Assist in cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and other relevant documentation. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities.
Collaboration: Coordinate internal departments to ensure seamless procurement processes.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3 - 5 years experience.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of aluminum or related materials and the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in purchasing aluminum sheet and coil or related materials
Detailed understanding of understanding of Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
PowerBI / Tableau experience preferred
Travel required to various facilities in the company and suppliers / seminars as necessary; travel anticipated to be 10%.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Typical office environment - moderate noise level. This position regularly requires frequent standing; walking; sitting; use of hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing. This position requires some stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Overnight travel is sometimes required.
