Healthcare Recruiters is looking to hire a Director of Supportive Living for a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
visionary leadership and strategic direction for the supported living programs in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the provision of excellent support services that promote independence, choice, and self-determination.
and support a team of dedicated staff members, including direct support professionals, coordinators, and administrative personnel.
with individuals with IDD, their families, caregivers, and community partners to identify needs, preferences, and goals and tailor support services accordingly.
compliance with regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and funding guidelines, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
program outcomes and performance metrics and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service effectiveness and efficiency.
for the rights and interests of individuals with IDD within the broader community, fostering partnerships and promoting awareness and understanding.
program budgets, resources, and funding streams, seeking opportunities for growth and sustainability.
up-to-date expertise in Washington State Administrative Code and Social Security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
years of progressive leadership experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, coordinating programs for people with IDD.
1-year experience in providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
with project management and working within a team environment.
to analyze contract requirements, including policies and WACs, to develop detailed implementation plans.
ability to navigate various social systems, including medical, public housing, public transportation, social security, Medicaid, and legal systems in a care provider and advocacy role.
