Westchester County, NY (Hybrid)

We are performing a confidential search for an employer in Westchester County seeking to hire a Digital Commerce Manager. This is a hybrid position requiring a mix of in-office and remote work.

The Job

As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our online retail sales platform, ensuring an exceptional customer journey, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  • Magento Expertise: Own the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of our Magento e-commerce platform. Implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with external developers/solution providers as needed.
  • Digital Commerce Strategy: Develop and execute a robust digital commerce strategy aimed at optimizing the Magento platform, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and driving revenue growth.
  • Product Data Management: Enhance customer experience and SEO with meticulously managed wine product information (descriptions, vintage details, tasting notes, images, and inventory). Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with our unique brand voice.
  • Merchandising: Implement visually appealing and sales-oriented merchandising strategies within Magento. Highlight new arrivals, special offers, and curate collections that resonate with our discerning clientele.
  • User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI): Analyze website data, customer feedback, and collaborate with marketing to optimize product presentation, navigation, search, purchasing experience, and develop compelling content that reflects our brand. Ensure the website UI upholds and complies with brand standards.
  • Performance Analysis, Insights, & CRO: Utilize analytics tools, implement A/B testing, and pursue conversion rate optimization to enhance the online shopping experience and drive sales.
  • Operational Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse team to manage shipping integrations, streamline order fulfillment processes, optimize inventory management, and enhance logistics for a superior customer experience.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external developers and Magento solution providers as needed for upgrades, customizations, or troubleshooting.
  • Quality Assurance and Monitoring: Conduct regular quality assurance checks and site monitoring. Identify areas of improvement and proactively communicate and address them.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with e-commerce regulations, data protection laws, and implement security measures to safeguard customer information.
  • Industry Trends and Innovation: Remain updated on Magento product updates, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce to foster innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

The successful person in this position will have strong website management and analytical skills along with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively. You're detail oriented, curious, proactive, and organized, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a keen sense of design. You also have a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce management, specifically using Magento within the retail industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in proactively identifying opportunities, implementing solutions, and driving measurable sales and experience improvements within a Magento environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, derive actionable insights, and collaborate effectively with Marketing and IT to enhance UX and drive sales.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to translate business goals into clear technical requirements for development teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-centric online experiences.
  • Self-driven with the ability to take ownership and demonstrate initiative and follow through.
  • Technical Skills: Magento, Google Analytics, SEO, UX/ UI, Excel, PPT.

Important Note:

This role requires extensive hands-on Magento experience. Candidates without significant Magento expertise will not be considered.
