Prime responsibility for the financial administration of a project and overall direction, coordination and performance of engineering, procurement, construction (if applicable), and related activities. Acts as the principal contact with the Client. Insures that the proper definition of project requirements is provided to all parties by issuance of a Project Management Plan.
Responsibilities/ Duties
Maintains overall responsibility to ensure performance meets schedule and cost budgets.
Responsible for negotiating with the Client all changes to the job in accordance with procedures.
Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companies, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
Recommends and facilitates the personnel and funds required to carry out programs which are directly related with and directed toward fulfillment of overall organization objectives.
Education And Work Experience
Minimum of Bachelor Degree. P.E. license preferred. PMP Certification preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience with 8 years of experience as a licensed Professional Engineer.
Detail knowledge of Policy and Procedures.
Minimum of 10 years of project related experience if not a licensed Project Engineer or Design Engineer.
Knowledgeable and experienced in the use of CPM scheduling and project controls and possesses a high degree of expertise in project management.
Has a good general knowledge of most engineering disciplines and is highly proficient in the details of at least one engineering discipline.
