Expected Hours Worked: 50 Hours weekly; with flexibility if needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage the daily operations of the Plant with a focus on employee and food safety. • Direct and schedule Supervisors and support staff - including interviewing, hiring, training, planning and schedule, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving issues. • Ensure daily production planning is in accordance with supply chain needs. • Support quality standards, inventory accuracy and production planning schedules with a focus on reduction/avoidance of failure costs. • Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. • Collect and analyze data to find places of Continuous Improvement reducing waste and overtime, and trigger corrective actions in a timely manner. • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. • Responsible for employee development, performance management and staffing with a focus on management by objectives (i.e.: KPIs, Plant Objectives, etc.). • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
Plant Manager Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree within organization leadership or business management desired.
4+ years of plant management experience required.
Proven work experience in the food or dairy industry is strongly desired.
Experience with start-up is a requirement; ie: startup of production lines or manufacturing plants are examples of what we are looking for.
Proven knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources).
Ability to motivate staff to keep operations running smoothly and meet goals.
