Job Summary: Alsym Energy, Inc is expanding its marketing team, and is a looking for a technical marketing leader with experience engaging with prospective customers at a technical level as well as developing product messaging and collateral. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this person will help communicate the value of Alsym's innovative high performance, non-flammable battery technology to customers in both business and technical roles in the storage, industrial, and marine markets.
Alsym Energy has developed an innovative non-flammable, high-performance rechargeable battery chemistry that's free of lithium and cobalt and ideal for applications such as stationary storage, maritime shipping, and EVs including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and passenger vehicles. In this role you will be a key part of the customer qualification process, design-in opportunities, and other customer facing engagements, especially those tied to our first product for the stationary and grid storage market, Alsym Green.
Background
The ideal candidate will have a background in the battery, energy storage, or utility spaces. This role will emphasize technical expertise and will be best suited to an engineer with experience in product management or product marketing.
Key Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or Science
5-7 years in the battery, energy storage, or utility sectors
Deep understanding of batteries and electrical systems, and ability to engage with customer engineering and technical teams to scope applications and solutions
Comfortable working independently in a start-up environment
Flexible, adaptable, and able to quickly adjust to changing needs and conditions
Experience working directly with end users and customers as well as engineers and scientists
Responsibilities:
Technical Communication and Project Scoping:
Effectively translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences
Engage with prospective customers through qualification and discovery process, working with customer technical staff to address potential fit and scope product solutions
Design, model and simulate solutions, generate engineering and single line diagrams (and similar) as needed to meet customer requirements
Manage internal product specifications in collaboration with R&D and Manufacturing teams
Content:
Create a compelling and informative technical content portfolio that effectively highlights the features and benefits of our products and technology
Craft a diverse range of content types, including white papers, case studies, app notes, single-line diagrams, that cater to various technical audiences
Work with creative team members to adapt technical content to suit various marketing channels and platforms, including websites, social media, and industry publications
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
Analyze competitor activities, identify potential threats and opportunities, and develop strategies to differentiate our products and offerings
Contribute to the development of non-technical marketing collateral, including product briefs, and case studies, that effectively communicate our unique value proposition
Marketing Collaboration and Campaign Execution:
Collaborate closely with our digital agency to develop and implement targeted PPC and SEO campaigns that effectively reach our target audience
Represent the company at industry events and conferences, engaging with potential customers and showcasing our innovative solutions
