Project Manager - Transmission & Substation - Houston, TX

As a Project Manager you'll be the driving force behind our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead a talented team, overseeing every stage of the project life-cycle, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, assemble the right team, and develop a comprehensive project plan.
  • Manage all project resources effectively, including budget, personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Implement clear communication channels and adeptly resolve any conflicts that may arise.
  • Oversee the entire construction process, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality control measures, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, adapting them as needed to meet project demands.
  • Foster strong relationships with contractors, engineers, consultants, and other project partners.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress monitoring, keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Manage project financials, keeping costs under control and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Identify potential areas of dispute and develop strategies to manage them.
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and the client, ensuring their satisfaction with the final deliverables.

Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management (preferred).
  • At least 4 years of experience in construction project management.
  • A commitment to safety, with the ability to create and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software like Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, legal considerations, and safety regulations.
  • The ability to manage time effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • A willingness to travel to project sites.
  • A focus on quality and a passion for exceeding expectations.
