Project Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager
Supervises: All site employees
Position Overview:
The Project Manager schedules and directs personnel and resources towards providing quality, cost effective safe service to clients to ensure the work is produced according to the plan. Manages and coordinates all operations, fleet/equipment management as well as estimating, budgeting, and client relations.
Position Details:
Salary: Competitive salary; based upon experience
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, work in the elements.
Work Schedule: Hours vary based on seasonal needs, must be flexible. Typically M-F, 7a-5p.
Work Location: Warren, MI
Work Conditions: Outside, in the elements; office environment

Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure job site's quality and appearance meet client and company standards
Inspect properties prior to scheduled service in order to properly prepare specific action plan for service
Offer practical advice pertaining to the various project schedules and budgets
Organize, direct, and request the proper equipment needed for timely project completion
Continually review project progress, cost, schedules, and demands to complete
Determine and recommend changes in methods, schedules, and procedures and improve where necessary
Performs any other assignments as requested by the regional manager
Participate in weekly site production meetings offering input to improve quality of site maintenance
Communicate regularly with client to ensure that we are meeting or exceeding customer expectations
Manages snow removal activities during the winter months; as well as snow vendors
Employee & Safety Management:
Organize, direct, and request needed personnel for timely project completion
Hire new employees as needed.
Communicate with, counsel, train, and discipline, develop, and review employees
Provide hands on training and support of crew personnel in areas such as proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
Prepare crews' daily schedules, providing direction and goals to be accomplished, and emphasizing quality and efficiency of operations.
Monitor safety record of crews and minimize accidents to personnel and equipment.
Ensure crews are appropriately attired to company and OSHA standards.
Administrative/other:
Submit time sheets daily and other written reports as required
Responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance, storage, use, and training required for branch equipment.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures as issued by management.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid driver's license and insurability
Experience managing large scale projects and client expectations: 4 years
Experience analyzing and preparing data; weekly reporting standards
Professional commercial landscaping experience in a similar role: 5+ years
Professional snow removal experience in a similar role: 5+ years
Ability to work outdoors in all elements
