Job Description:
Primary Duties:
The Dealer Development Manager will work with the Director of Dealer Development to manage and develop our
distribution strategy and programs to improve dealer performance and mindshare.
Responsibilities:
? Assists Forklift Department in developing and managing the annual dealer business plans.
? Assists with overall strategic planning.
? Assists with creation and distribution of quarterly sales performance letters and programs to maximize
retail sales.
? Travels to prospective dealer locations and participates in functions and events as needed.
? Dealer Development
o Calling on and cultivating potential new dealer leads
o Work with District Sales Managers to identify new dealer candidates
o Follow up with dealer leads and setting up meetings.
o Dealer documentation preparation (Dealer Applications, Agreements & Addendums,
Performance Improvement Plans, and Separation Agreements)
o Assist Legal with preparing documents
o Assist Finance with preparing documents.
o Collecting documents from dealers.
o Prepare and update dealer profiles for new and existing dealers
o Management of the dealer territory maps and data.
o Reports
? Updating the Hyundai Dealer Directory
? Updating the Dealer Development Activity Report (Monthly)
? Creating retail activity maps (based on ITA orders and shipments in mapping program
? Dealer Score Card - Dealer performance evaluation tool
o Work with DSMs and RAMs to gather information and track throughout the year
Other duties: Other duties and functions appropriate to the position as assigned by the manager from time to
time.
Work environment and other requirements:
The work environment is a non-smoking office environment. No heavy lifting required. Mostly sitting with
computer and phone usage. Accommodation can be made for handicapped employees. Travel expectation is 15-
20%.
