Job Description:
Support all life safety gas detection inspections, testing, service, repairs and maintenance
Ensure the toxic gas monitoring (TGM) system is in compliance with all local and federal regulations and NFPA codes
Coordination and support local LSS contractors for system upgrades, improvements and repairs as needed
Lead new tool and equipment gas detection equipment and monitoring install, relocations and demos
Develop and maintain TGM system network, troubles and alarm log with root causes and corrective actions
Support as needed maintenance, device repairs and service that include: sensor replacements, sensor calibration, device troubleshooting, network service, SCADA programming, PLC work
Support other life safety systems including fire alarm and fire protection equipment


Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or related Engineering Degree Required
5-7 years' experience as Life Safety Engineer required with detailed understanding of Gas Detection Equipment, PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley), LON network, Wonderware SCADA, low voltage wiring, Fire Protection (Sprinkler) and Fire Alarm systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.), Bluebeam and AutoCAD
Knowledge of local and national codes that include: Life Safety 101, International Building Code, International Fire Code, NFPA 10, 13, 25, 72 and OSHA
