Warehouse Manager
A. Harold and Associates, LLC (AHA) is looking for a qualified Warehouse Manager for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology Calibration (METCAL) Program. The Warehouse Manager leads a team to support the Program in a traditional warehouse utilizing legacy computer systems. The candidate will oversee CALSTDs Packaging, Shipping, Handling and Transportation (PHS&T) requirements, inventory requirements, and comply with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements. The position is located at the Calibration Standards Ready Issue Activity (CSRIA) Warehouse located onboard MCAS Beaufort, SC.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides management, oversight, and continuous evaluation and/or improvement of the following NAVAIR METCAL Program CALSTD warehousing elements:
Supervises, leads, trains, and mentors warehouse technicians
Maintains and develops processes which encompass the receipt, accounting, shipping, and distribution of NAVAIR METCAL Standards
Provides supportive data for inventory analysis, and manages warehouse inventories
Performs Root Cause Analysis for process departure; makes recommendations and implements corrective actions
Assesses CSRIA inventory process and policy, identifies potential deficiencies and trends, and recommends preventive or corrective actions within established inventory policy
Initiates action to effectively incorporate approved changes relating to CSRIA Inventory Management
Performs CALSTDs inventory audits using the CALSTD Asset Management System (CSAMS) and provides findings to CSRIA Manager
Resolves METCAL/logistics issues associated with CALSTD inventories as reported by CSAMS
Makes recommendations to CSRIA Manager for layout of CALSTD locations within the CSRIA, placing emphasis on process time reductions and total cost of ownership (TOC) reductions
Facilitates development, planning and execution of Program Office Initiatives
Supports the NAVAIR METCAL Vision and Mission statements as they relate to warehouse management
Implements Continuous Process Improvement and process controls as they pertain to logistics and responsibilities associated with warehouse management
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills Required:
Expertise in assessing, developing, documenting and monitoring PHS&T and inventory activities
Demonstrates the skill necessary to develop and manage METCAL Program requirements pertaining to inventory management; apply newly developed theories and policy endorsed by higher levels to developing new approaches, policies and procedures
Microsoft Office applications and the ability to utilize warehouse management software and databases
Leadership skills and the ability to manage the warehouse staff
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel
Knowledge of NAVAIR Logistics requirements and processes related to Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy systems, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) disposition program, military aviation supply and NAVAIR Metrology Calibration is a plus
Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in leadership, supervision, safety management, developing standards, managing processes, inventory control, software systems, and analyzing information
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
