Job Description

The Department of Mathematics at Wellesley College invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer beginning in the fall semester of 2024. T his is a full-time position, teaching five courses for academic year 2024-25, with the possibility of renewal in 2025-26. This position is in a collective bargaining unit represented by Wellesley Organized Academic Workers - UAW (WOAW-UAW).

A successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in the mathematical sciences and provide strong evidence of excellence in teaching. Applications should be submitted online through the college's career application website ( https://www.wellesley.edu/hr/jobseekers ) and should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a short description of research (written for non-specialists), a statement of teaching interests and experience, and two letters of reference discussing teaching.Thecover letter should address the candidate's interest in developing his/her teaching and research in an undergraduate liberal arts setting with a diverse student body. Additional documents, such as past student evaluations or a letter of recommendation for research, may be submitted but are not required. For first consideration, applications should be submitted by April 1, 2024, although they will be considered on a rolling basis after that
