Description Position Title: Graduate Assistant - Counselor Education
Supervisor's Title & Department: Daniel Hall, Director of Master of Education in Counselor Education
Session: Academic (August 12, 2024 - May 16, 2025) This is a one-year placement with an opportunity for re-application and hire.
Hourly Rate & Leadership Classification: $17.00
Average hours per week: Up to 20 hours per week
Job Purpose: The Counselor Education Graduate Assistant serves in a supportive role for the Counselor Education Program.
Responsibilities:
Administrative support for course development and materials (20%)Assist program faculty with administrative tasks related to program operations (20%)Coordinate marketing efforts with the Program Director and MARCOM (10%)Support the program's student recruitment efforts through outreach and event attendance (15%)Assist program faculty with event planning and preparation (15%)Assist program faculty with accreditation efforts (20%)

Qualifications:
Must be a current full-time graduate student at the University of Lynchburg. Preference will be given to students currently enrolled in the Master's of Education in Counselor Education Program.
