(Contingent upon available funding): 0.00 - 0.00, Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: TBD Faculty Appt Period: 9 months Job Summary: The Department of Geography at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Human-Environmental Geography and Mixed Methods beginning August 2024. OSU Geography is a doctoral-granting department housed in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) with 15 full-time faculty members, 50 undergraduate majors, and 30 graduate students. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in Geography, Geospatial Information Science, and Global Studies as well as graduate degrees (MS and PhD) in Geography. Possible courses at the undergraduate level may include Field Methods and Geodata Collection, Cultural Geography, and Intro to Physical Geography, and graduate seminars on Mixed Methods and Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change. The ability to teach in-person and online is preferred. We seek candidates strongly committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, active pedagogy, and student success. Candidates must have a PhD in Geography or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
